  • Maryanne Middler

    Manager/Early Years Lead Practitioner

    Hi, I am Maryanne Middler and the I am the Playgroup Manager. My qualifications include an SVQ level 2 and 3 in Early Years Care and Education, an HNC in Social Sciences and an SVQ level 4 in Management. Currently I am working towards my BA in Childhood Practice. I have worked in a variety of Early Years settings and have 5 children of my own. I work on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

  • Carol Evans

    Acting Assistant Early Years Lead Practitioner

    Carol joined Torphins Playgroup in February 2017. She has 2 children of her own and has previous experience of working with the Playgroup as both the Treasurer and the Chairperson. She has decided to take on the new challenge of joining the front of house team and is looking forward to progressing with her new career and gaining a Childcare qualification.

  • Nicole Adams

    Early Years Practitioner

    I joined the Torphins Playgroup team in October 2018 when my daughter Elle turned two and started attending, I loved the setting so much I knew I wanted to be more involved. I have a degree in Education and have worked as a primary teacher in both the UK and Canada. I also have degrees in Kinesiology and in Psychology. I am looking forward to working alongside the staff, children and parents on a Monday and Wednesday.

    Relief Early Years Practitioner

    I joined the Torphins Playgroup team in April 2018. Currently undertaking the role of an Early Years Practitioner, I have a HND in Education Studies (Primary) and presently study in hope of achieving my BA (Honours) in Childhood and Youth Studies. Several of my workplaces involve working with and caring for children of differing ages, all of which I thoroughly enjoy.

  • Lyndsey Mclaughlin

    Relief Early Years Practitioner

    My name in Lyndsey and I am a qualified practioner. I worked in a local private nursery for nearly 12 years where I completed my Early Years Care and Education level 3. I have 3 boys 15, 10 and 5 and have had experience as a parent helper for playgroup as my children attended and they loved it. Especially the garden (amazing!)

Helen Crouch, Aberdeenshire Council Early Years Development Worker at Torphins Playgroup

Hello, I’m Helen Crouch and I am employed by Aberdeenshire Council as a Development Worker for Early Years settings in the local area. I advise and support the staff, helping them make improvement plans so they can provide a quality service to parents and children. I visit Torphins Playgroup several times a year, often helping out in the sessions.

June Foote, Aberdeenshire Council Early Years Co-ordinating Teacher at Torphins Playgroup

Hello, my name is June Foote and I am the Early Years Principal Teacher. I have been appointed by Aberdeenshire Council to support staff in local Playgroups and Nurseries with curriculum development and I also work directly with the children to identify learning needs and to add challenge. I visit Torphins Playgroup two or three times a term.
